Mighty Minnie...

Minnie and her newborn puppies were pulled from a very high kill shelter in Memphis, Tn. One by one, Minnie's precious babies passed away and we really never knew why. Then later when Minnie was spayed, she almost died. It was discovered that she had a severe blood disorder than may have passed on to her little ones at birth. After several transfusions, Minnie bounced back, only to later suffer a mild stroke that caused some nerve damage to her hind leg. It does not hamper her one bit. Minnie prefers to be the only dog BUT if there is a dog that does not get in her face she is fine.

None of this has kept this precious pittie down. Minnie lives at our shelter, finding joy each day by ripping and running on our playground. We feel Minnie is about one to two years old. She does not make a mess in her run and we let her frequently to have the yard.

Minnie is still in search of her forever family... They must be extra special because she is extra special.
